LJS & OWH Subscription Work-Around

This thread has several references about how to get around the subscriptions to the OWH and LJS websites. I don't think it's a big deal but I don't know if someone at those two places would throw a fit if they saw posts like that on our site. Thought I'd ask.

 
My thought is if they don't like it, we'll hear from them. Until then it doesn't need to be addressed. It's up to them to build a paywall that can't be subverted by clearing cookies. They get the paywall they pay for.

If our members were sharing account passwords or posting hacks, etc, that might be a different story. I could be wrong, though. IANAL

While I agree, I want to stress that we need to be quick to remove or hide the thread or posts should those sites ask. I'm a tad worried that if we don't, we could be complicit in what amounts to a theft. However, until they ask, I think we're okay - it matches our stance that we aren't responsible for content posted by members until the content owners complain. So, if any of us are contacted by the sites and asked to remove the content, please do so immediately. Thanks!

 
Personally I'd rather be safe than sorry and remove it. Just like we don't allow links to unpaid TV sites or how to do that I think we'd be better off nipping this in the bud sooner rather than later. JMO
