Why shouldn’t Matt Ruhle be criticized after his handling of the quarterback play against Rutgers? He should have substituted quarterbacks as Raiola was clearly rattled and unable to perform. He should have been taken out after the 3rd  quarter.

I lost a lot a lot of respect and trust for Ruhle. I don’t have any positive feelings about this team going forward. They may become bowl eligible but nothing more. Hard to watch.

 
This is a bad take. I have to assume you’re a member of the Haarberg family. Was Riola rattled today? It appeared that way. Is it better to bench your freshman qb in what is really the first time he’s really struggled all year? Does it benefit him to be afraid that he’ll be pulled if he screws up? I don’t think so, he’s a bit of a gunslinger. Taking chances is part of his game, he needs to be confident that Rhule will ride with him even if he isn’t in top of his game. I think Rhule handled it correctly, and I won’t be shocked if later in the season DR has a bad three quarters and is able to drive down the field and get a winning score because of how this game was handled.
