Decorating tips for the free-spirited
Weird thing is, neither of the two websites mentioned in this post contain the text this person quoted - not the nj.com nor the BaseBoardRadiatorCover.com. Both appear to be completely unrelated to this person or this post.It may stress you out when you start planning the design and decorations for your room, especially when you consider all the decorating rules in place to keep you from doing this or that. But did you know you can decorate your home without following any rules? You simply need to throw all the things together that make you feel at home, even if home is sometimes a little messy. Here are some decorating tips for the free-spirited who don’t want to follow any rules.
Show off many different patterns
Some people say only one pattern in the room while others recommend two. Well, the free-spirited may be more interested in putting 20 or more together. According to NJ.com, you may fancy picking up a new item everywhere you go with some sort of textile pattern. Maybe you just get a new pillow every time you travel or a large rug to hang in the background. Putting together a lot of different patterns will look really great together and definitely convey your fun personality to everyone who comes over to your home. Try different patterns and bold colors. It may feel like chaos to some people, but to others, it will feel like home.
Trending with wood
One Bohemian style that is trending a lot right now is putting wood up in your home. NJ.com points out this could be driftwood or reclaimed wood up on the wall as a decoration. Not only does it show you care about the environment, but it also is a great piece of art that draws the eye’s attention. The wood art may even be a great conversation starter as you explain how you found the piece.
Just make it you
The most important decorating tip for someone who is free-spirited is just to decorate with what you love and make it about you. Stop worrying about the rules or about what other people say. If you like it or you want to show it off, just do it! The more of your own personality that goes into the room, the more you’ll love the space and others will love it too.
