The 6-foot-8, 220-pound Jacobson (Waukee, IA), who plays for the MoKan Elite on the AAU circuit, made an unofficial visit to Nebraska in mid-June, after picking up a scholarship offer from NU coach Tim Miles in May.
A 4.0 student, Jacobson also had offers from Drake, Northern Iowa, Indiana State, Northern Colorado, UTEP and Wyoming, as well as Ivy League schools Harvard, Princeton and Brown.
Iowapreps.com ranks Jacobson among the top 10 prospects from the state of Iowa for the class of 2015.
A three-sport athlete in high school, Jacobson is a tight end in football and received a football scholarship offer from Iowa State.
