I entered the world in December of 1979, in Mountain View California, the first daughter of a Filipino immigrant and a German/Irish Marine. Not too long after that my family moved to Santa Clara. A city just south of where I was born. At age five, I was enrolled in a Catholic school. I spent the next nine years in a school girl’s uniform. Can’t you just picture that? Attending class with pretty much the same twenty eight people kept me sheltered from a lot of things. Shortly before my ninth birthday my sister was born. I finally had a sister, something I always wanted.
