I don't believe we've had to start a thread for this user before, but just an FYI...

We've had to moderate two of @ndobney's posts in recent days because they included political commentary in the wrong sub forums (one was a message that included "Go Trump" in the football forum, and the other was a joke about the validity of the presidential election made in one of the recruiting forums).

I just sent him PM reminding him of our guidelines and asked that he stop. Hoping that this will suffice, but if it persists, it'll probably be worth a harsher penalty than just a PM.

 
ndobney is complaining about a recruiting thread (related to his son) being moved to the BS forum. I'm guessing it was moved because it doesn't have anything to do (explicitly) with Husker sports recruiting, at least not yet?

I thought about moving it to basketball recruiting to satiate him, but didn't know if there was another reason it had been shuffled.

I don't care much either way though. I'm content to leave it where it is, particularly since he's on our disapproval list right now with his behavior.

 
Yeah, I saw his post.  I thought about replying but wasn't sure I cared to.

He originally posted it in the Basketball Recruiting forum but those forums have traditionally been reserved for players with Husker offers.  We get one every once in awhile in the Football forums and I've moved them to the main Recruiting forum instead of the year-specific one but there isn't the same option for basketball.

He seems to be taking it as a slight that it was in the "BS" forum and that's not what was intended.  Simply that it didn't really belong in the forum where it was originally posted.

I don't care if someone wants to give him an explanation.  Or if someone wants to tell me I should I'll listen.  But I kind of got to the same point as your last sentence.  He's kind of been on the down list already and is kind of sulking.  If he would have asked for an explanation I would gladly have given it.  But I didn't care to wade into his pity party.

Maybe that makes me petty...

 
I think that all sounds fair, Mav. He hasn't built up much goodwill.

To be honest, I don't know why a couple of people are even fussing about it in the Shed. It's not like ndobney is running around the board complaining about it. If he is, I guess I've missed it. Issue seems pretty isolated. We don't have a real 'general recruiting' home for people talking about their kids, and that forum is supposed to be about players being actively recruited and/or with offers.

I think he's taking the 'BS' forum thing too literally, too. I think most of us acknowledge and understand that it's just a random, catch-all discussion sub-forum for things that don't have a specific sub-forum. It doesn't mean the topics are "bulls#!t" or unimportant or anything like that.

I'll leave it up to you if you want to respond to him in the thread  :thumbs  but I don't have an issue with where the thread itself is.
