Nebraska on ESPN

They just showed a clip of Lawrence Phillips being dreafted by the Rams on the Draft special tonight, on ESPN. They were talking about character vs. talent. Also, about 5 mins after that, they showed the clip of Trev Alberts being drafted to the Colts and Mel Kiper ripping the Colts for doing so. They showed some Colts GM or something then ripping into Mel for not knowing about talent. Just thought I would pass this along in case someone missed it and would like to remember things in the 1990s.

Yeah, I remember Kiper ripping the Colts about Trev and I was pissed at the time. Turns out Kiper knew what he was talking about with Trev. :bang

maybe...

Trev was an injury case (i'm always hesitant to refer to injury-plagued players as "Busts")

so unless Kiper said he wasn't a good pick b/c of a history of injuries...

FWIW, Kiper also bashed the Falcons for picking Booker and the Rams for picking LP. He was definately Two-For-Two on those.

ESPN's anti-Nebraska atttitude is apparent to even non Nebraska fans......IMHO it hurts their crediability too..basically a bunch of dumb asses really :dumdum

espn as a whole is definately biased against nebraska, but if there is anyone there who is objective its mel kiper... he isnt wrong much, and while he has blasted a few teams for taking nebraska players high, you could probably say that about just about every powerhouse program in d 1 football. He also has Taylor in his top five senior quarterbacks... so i wouldnt be too quick to rip him...
