new feature: woodshed auto responder

I have sort of been getting tired of writing responses to these kind of PMs, so I found a script somewhere about inserting text into fast reply text field automatically.

I tested it under QB Test and it seems to work, so it's now functional under QB Live.

The next time you get a PM, upon reading it, there is a button on the left panel under the "Invite Participants" block, that reads "Auto Woodshed Response." Press it, and a pre-drafted standard response (I can change the text to you guys' liking) should appear in the Fast Reply text box. Haven't tested in IE yet, but it should work!

Only mods/admins see this button. Let me know how it works! Or if you would rather it be removed.

Too cool! Great work!

I don't seem to get many PMs for the password - all of mine come from the mods@huskerboard.com and the admin@huskerboard.com emails - so I may not get a chance to try it very soon, so if any one uses it with IE, let us know how it goes.

 
Is there some kind of minimum number of posts requirement before someone can use the PM system? I seem to remember it, but can't find it in the Control Panel. Reason I bring it up is that someone may join, but not post, and couldn't get the password if we limit it to just PMing us.

 
No minimum posts. I created a testing account a while back that wasn't in the mods group, and sent my mod account a test PM for fun to test the woodshed password. AFAIK, they just need to be approved.

 
OH - it hasn't been updated to QBL, oops.

Forgot about that - will do now. OK - done! sorry about that knapp.

Frank, Should we create a larger response that includes "b y requesting and accepting this password you acknowledge you are at least 18 years old....or is that even a requirement?

 
In the descriptive text for the Woodshed, we have the following:

"By requesting the password and accessing the Woodshed, you are certifying that you are of legal age to view potentially vulgar content."

That should cover it - I noticed lately that a few of the people requesting the password have started telling me that they're over 18.
