New Husker Video Forum

June, July, August...I think there's no rush at all. A launch at any of those points seems fine to me, as long as there's a few weeks still to the start of the season (ideally). Whatever you guys are most comfortable with.

Oh for sure......looks like we choose #1... - I'll keep posting videos for player highlights, chants, etc.

I say we go live with this on Wednesday at 9pm or so.

Thoughts???......1)too soon, needs to be perfected more....2) let's get this thing live and let the members take it over.

If you want to make it live tonight, i can just put "coming soon" posts in the 2011-2014 threads as placeholders until I finish uploading. If not, I can have those seasons done by maybe Sunday, probably Monday. Does that work for you guys?

Ok, so I cleaned up the 2008-2014 threads. I'll fill in the gaps over the next few days, but at least they're in order. I'll start working through cleaning up the other threads after those are done, but I don't think that should hold back the launch.

 
Good deal. So, unless someone says sooner, it will be live as of 9:00 tonight. Thanks, everyone, for all the work and ideas. I think this can be a real draw for Huskerboard.

Okay, it's live. Members, guests, and those validating can see the forum and read the topics. Members can post and reply and download (which isn't needed, but something we set on all the forums). Members can NOT upload, but that doesn't affect them insetting links just like we've done.

Eric, if you want to make an announcement, now's the time!

Finally, what would you think about reordering the year threads to be in chron order, and then pinning them so they stay in the correct order? e.g., 2001, 2002, 2003, etc. We could leave all the highlight threads below unpinned so any newly added highlights would appear just below the year threads.

I like that, but don't think it will work. There's no way to order threads that I know of, and pinning doesn't lock threads in a position. So, assume we put them in chronological order with 2015 at the top and 2010 at the bottom. If anyone posts in the 2010 thread, it becomes the most topical thread, and it jumps to the top of the list of the pinned threads.
If anyone knows of a way to do this (and it's highly likely I missed something) sing out. I do like the idea. Would really keep it neat and clean.

Nope, that's what we're shooting for. Once I get that game put up, I'll move the link to the appropriate game post.

 
Ok, so 2008-2013 is done, minus a couple games I have to re-export. I'll try to tackle 2014 Sunday/Monday and get that thread fixed by Monday evening.
