Hey Husker fans,

I've never been here before, but I figured that I might as well join the forums. My name is Max Strauss. I'm a high school senior, and I work really hard to interview different NFL players. I recently had the chance to have a great interview with Adam Carriker. He talks a lot about Cornhusker football. He talks about what it was like growing up as a fan with his father. He also talks about his recruiting experience, and why he chose Nebraska when growing up in the state of Washington. He also talks about Ndamukong Suh and Bill Callahan, and hazing. He also talks about what it's like to be a part of rich history in Nebraska. He talks a lot and is very informative about his time there.

Please leave a comment with what you think of the interview! I can't wait to come back and reply to your feedback!

Wow. Nice interview. You did a great job with that interview and I thank you. Very impressive for a High School senior. You asked insightful questions and Adam was seemingly into the interview.

And Adam seems like a reasonable and nice guy.

Again. Thanks.

Yeah, Adam was great. It was one of my best interviews. He was so open, that it made it awesome! Thanks for your feedback!!

i busted out laughing so hard at this, it reminds me of crap that has happened to me my whole life, and it's hilarious:

Strauss : And is there anything else that you would want to tell your fans that we haven’t really talked about?

Carriker : That’s kind of it, but I have kind of a funny story, I used to do this weekly show on Omaha radio, and this guy asked me, ‘If you could be any kind of tree, what kind of tree would you be?’ and in my mind I was like this is the stupidest question I have ever been asked, and I just said, ‘Banana tree’. I just threw a tree out there, and I don’t even remember what was said after that. So like a week later there is like another show and they asked me what was the stupidest question you have been asked throughout this whole process and I said you know if you could be a tree, what kind of tree would you be. And the next time, I talked to the other guy he was hurt, he was like you insulted me, you said I asked you the stupidest question ever, you know and he was so upset too. The ice cream question makes so much more sense to me, there are so many different things you could go into, and I was like the tree question was the stupidest question I have ever been asked you know, and he was so upset and mad at me for it, but I thought it was hilarious.

This was a very good interview Max. Thanks for taking the time to share it with us. Your questions were really good! The World Herald should hire you! Some of their reporters ask the most stupid questions I think I've ever heard. Yours were relevant and smart. Well done, young man. I hope you go far in the 'reporting' business.

So sorry-wrote that late at night. Great job anyway Max. Will you be going into journalism in college? You would have a bright future in that field.

All good. I think I want to double major, in sports business and marketing. I got into LSU, I'm sorry I didn't apply to Nebraska LOL!

Strauss : What is your favorite memory from Nebraska?

Washington : I will always remember my first play as a freshman. I got a pick six vs. Arizona State University. It was a great way to start my college career.
Nice. I didn't know Fabian's first play was a pick six.
