New Moderators?!

Hello Everyone,

We would like to see wht you guys think of getting a few new moderators. We are going to pull a few moderators off the line (based soley on the fact they aren't interested anymore) and seek 2 more.

What are your thoughts?

Chad and I put together a few skillz we are looking for. Thoughts?

[SIZE=16pt]Responsibilities:[/SIZE]

  • Provide communication to guests, members and administrators via Leadership Forum and/or PM system
  • Post as often as possible to keep content fresh. This includes both responding to threads and creating new threads. The goal is to have new content when members log in each day to motivate them to return to Huskerboard.com
  • Be an active member of Huskerboard.com
  • Manage the discussion on HuskerBoard.com to encourage participation by
    Modeling proper posting
  • Creating threads

[*]Keeping Huskerboard.com fresh with new material

[SIZE=16pt]Qualifications:[/SIZE]

Credentials and Experience:

  • Enjoys Huskerboard.com and loves the University of Nebraska
  • Must have own smart phone and willing to use it.
  • Willing to learn basic moderating functions (i.e. splitting topics, merging topics, deleting posts, locking threads, etc.)
  • Use basic English and proper grammar
Skills and Abilities:

  • Feel free to offer ideas to help create revenue to help with upgrades and keeping the board free (and payoff the balance of Bill Callahan’s salary).
  • Ability to have Tom Osborne laser like focus to be creative in prolonging, revitalizing and properly debating members
  • Have the ability to not take comments seriously and to heart (especially when Bo Pelini speaks).
  • Moderators time (remember there is no such thing as a set amount of time to be on Huskerboard.com, but when you are on):
    70% of your time is creating new threads and replying
  • 20% ideas to help create revenue to help with upgrades and keeping the board free
  • 10% deliberating members (warnings, bans, worthiness, etc.)

If you get the same quality as the last bunch. Winnah, winnah, etc.

Get some like me; meh

I bet you there are many out there that have the skill set you need and want.

Just gotta ask them or determine who is worthy

I'm cool with some more moderators. It'll only help especially during the football season when things really pick up. There are times during the football season when we could literally spend hours on the board and not get to everything.

 
Allow me to second FakeID fka Bye Bye Big XII. IRL friend of mine so I can vouch that he'd do a good job and he'd be interested.

For the interested candidates, maybe we can start narrowing the field and the invite a few of them to introduce themselves a little more, so we get an idea of who they are and how they would envision their role. I think that'd be helpful -- smartphone, posts/week, while interesting, is just that.

Sure....I have a few more who have inquired.

Once I get all the info on all members, we can develop questions for each.

Okay, cool. By the way, what's going on with the thread? I've got a PM from Guy asking me why his posts are being deleted.
