NHL 2022-23

I hope that Kadri enjoyed his time with the cup, because he's not going to get a sniff of it with Calgary. Going to make the Edmonton rivalry even better though; can't wait to see the first game with Kadri and Kane facing off.

Yeah, Flames-Oilers games should be interesting……not that they needed extra help.

I changed the topic title…..removed 2021 since we’re going on the third season now.

Oops, just saw this new thread after I bumped up the one we’ve been using the past two seasons. Guess we’ll see which one takes off.

Getting pretty pumped for hockey again. We’ll see if the Avs have the eye of the tiger to grab that repeat.

First time caller, long time listener....  love the thread.

My questions are..

Is it difficult to win the stanley cup back to back?

When or who did it last?

Is Colorado the favorite again?

And can the Edmonton Oilers get better?

Thanks, appreciate the show, I will hang up and listen off the air.

Yes it is

Tampa Bay Whiners did it back to back before last season

I'd say yes

I'm not sure.  I don't think Campbell in net can take them to the promised land.  Their top line is among the best in the league, but their depth is questionable.

Thanks @JJ Husker @walksalone

Although I feel like the colorado avalanche are still the best on ice, I shall pull up a comfy chair, and watch a lot of hockey this year  chuckleshuffle

At least more than the 30-50 games I normally watch, before playoffs.  The early season runs up against MLB playoffs, NFL, NBA, college Hoops, and NCAA bowl games.

No Excuses! We’re gonna need at least 90 NHL games out of you this season. No slackers.  :D

@GSG @JJ Husker

Do I have to watch the 3rd period ??  I do get sleepy from the sounds of icing, and a good celly

Okay okay, 3rd periods optional.

Seriously though, I watched every Avs game the past two seasons but I did nod off in the 3rd quite a few times. So many of their games start late due to mountain and pacific time zone puck drops.
