Just an FYI - I have not started the Northwestern Prediction Contest for a couple of reasons. First, I want the time of the game so I can set it to automatically lock 30 minutes before kickoff. For some reason, the lock time has to be set when the thread is created - you can't do it later. Second, since we have an open week, and given the way the loss has affected members, it's probably best we hold off a little while to let emotions cool.
And speaking of the Prediction Contest, Chad has indicated that if there is no exact score prediction, we should go with the members with the closest total point total. To make that easier, I've created a spreadsheet that makes it easier. You simply enter the final score for Nebraska and the opponent. Then, enter each user's name and prediction, and the spreadsheet will highlight the two lowest point differentials from the actual score. Finally, I added a macro (CTRL+D) that allows you to copy the user's name from his or her post. Click into the member name field, CTRL+D, and it pastes the name as plain text rather than a hyperlink.
Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know in the event that I'm ever unavailable. The file is called Predication Contest.xlsm (yes, that extension is correct - it designates a spreadsheet with a macro in it, which is the CTRL+D function). It's located in the Mods folder; just FTP into it and grab it.
If you are unfamiliar with Excel, you can select any and all cells with data in them, then right-click, and select to Clear Contents from the pop-up menu.
