Nebraska's class of 2011 is now down to 16 verbal commitments. Do you think these recent decommits are a change of heart or the coaching staff backing off? If the coaching staff is backing off I hope they got some solid verbals that we don't know about yet.

I just hope we get enough commits. I'm pretty sure on a couple, but I wouldn't be thrilled if we had 1-2 schollies left and gave them to local kids..

probably will be 15..... qb buddy will probably go baseball when the $ hit him
Bubba will sign his LOI in February to play for Nebraska. But then we'll have to wait until August to see if he'll accept an MLB contract or not. Basically he'll be a Husker for about 6 months until further notice.

would love to see him play at nu, could be a pro prospect possibly in football.......but he throws i believe 95 mph in baseball

He definitely has the physical tools to succeed in both sports. But because he's so busy jumping from one sport to the next as the seasons change, it somewhat prevents his fullest potential from being realized because he doesn't specialize in one sport. I read a recent article that said he's never attended a camp in his life. So basically what we're witnessing is all natural but raw ability. If and when he ever decides to focus completely on one sport, watch out! His ceiling is sky high.

Needless to say, I'd be thrilled if he made it to NU, but realistically I wouldn't blame him for going the MLB route. My gut tells me he'll accept the MLB contract. I wish nothing but the best for the young man, regardless what choice he makes. He seems like a good kid from the articles I've read.
