In the thread @Savage Husker and I complain about the Mariners and their lack of recent playoff appearances.  Also, thanks to the dipsh^^ pitcher who plunked Robby Cano on the hand and broke it.  I didn't even realize Gordon Beckham was still in the majors.

Haha this suspension is the least surprising and most mariners thing imaginable for a season poised to end a playoff drought.

Not much need to find a starter right away, but at least they free up $12mil to spend on something.

@Savage Husker man how great is this?!  First Haniger gets drilled in the forearm and will probably be out for a couple days and then Segura dinged his shoulder scoring the winning run after diving into home plate and running into Lucroy.  That means 5 of the top 6 hitters in the Ms opening day lineup will probably be out tonight.  Awesome.  But, hey apparently Jayson Werth is still around!  I saw the Ms are bringing him up from Tacoma.  That being said, the pitching staff is holding tough and has been a really nice surprise.  Leake looked good again last night with the exception of the dumb mistake on the error that helped keep Oakland's inning alive and ultimately led to their 2 runs.

They’re grinding it out. It’s been nice to follow a winning team who is staying in contention, just wish they could start winning some series off of Astros and Angels. They have a lot of depth in the lineup and unsung heroes stepping up at the right time - Zunino’s homer last night was a beauty. Just stay within striking distance while the starters nurse their nicks and get hot in the summer

Marco Gonzalez throwin some ched. His last two starts now have been real impressive. Be nice to hold up that consistency.

Agreed Gonzales was dealing 2 nights ago.  He's pitched with alot more aggressiveness in his last couple starts and it's obviously yielded some positive results.  King Felix continues to struggle early in games, he just can't seem to avoid the big inning in the 1st 3.  I feel like the Ms got a little unlucky when they only came away with 1 run having the bases loaded w/ Cruz up and only getting 3 runs off 10 or 11 hits is a tough break.  That being said, they ran pretty pure the first 2 games with pulling out the late win on Tuesday.  Hard to argue with winning 2 of 3 at Oakland.

Good chance to rip off a nice homestand with Minnesota, Texas and TB coming into town.

Thanks for posting @MLB 51, saw the news this morning.  While I don't love trading a SP prospect that was close to major league ready in Moore, he was at best projecting to be a back end rotation guy.  Acquiring Colome helps bolster the bullpen a little bit more as Nicasio has struggled with late inning, high leverage situations.  Span will most likely slide into LF and take away alot of playing time for Ben Gamel.  All and all I think the trade is fine, the Ms have a really tough June ahead with 2 games against Houston and then from 6/11-6/28 they play LAA and a 4 game set against Boston before going on the road and playing NYY, Boston and Baltimore.

Ms take Logan Gilbert from Stetson in the 1st round.  I didn't get a chance to see him pitch this weekend during the regionals but he appears to be pretty salty.
He was a target of the Yankees. Good pick, he will need some time to work on secondary pitches, but he is already projected to make it to the Show.
