If they know we have trouble blocking on the perimeter, why are they still calling these plays?

Not only does our team look like frost on the field but now we blaming previous culture. How many years does a staff need to change a losing culture? Maybe cignetti has pointers for how to do it in one off season

Can't imagine a more damning admission. Isn't this exactly why he was hired? 19 games in and we are still dealing with this? You only fix this by winning games, which isn't something that you just hope eventually happens. 

I need someone to explain to me what it means to be a builder and why it has to include terrible losses in year 2.

See, this is exactly why I hate this rebuilder narrative. Why does that make it acceptable now? And, why didn't he learn how to avoid that? And it obfuscates a very simple fact, with our talent in year two vs Indiana in year one, we should at least look like we are playing the same game.

Is he wrong?

Not necessarily. But we raked Scott over the coals for making similar comments And we’re well into his tenure now. It’s his team, his coaches, his players. 
 

I didn’t hear much complaining from Cignetti about the poor culture from the previous regime.

I’m sure some of the concern is Rhule has. Said numerous times they are way ahead of schedule with this rebuild compared to the last 2 stops. If so shouldn’t losing by 49 to Indiana be in the past. I think losing by 49 to Ohio state is not acceptable let alone Indiana.

That was just coach speak and psychology imo.  Trying to make the players believe.  I get that and don't fault him for those comments.
