Omaha.

I was in Omaha this past weekend for a job interview. This was the first time I've been downtown Omaha in about 5 years. I was really impressed with the stadium and all the building up of the area around the river and then the Midtown Crossing. Where did that even come from? lol. Needless to say, I think if I got the job there, it would be moving back to a city that has really changed in a positive way, which is exciting.

How do you guys feel about all the building and growth?

Surprisingly, I think Omaha is moving in the right direction in terms of becoming a major city. It's a blueprint for gentrification, and nothing says monetary growth like yuppies paying big bucks to live in old warehouse apartments with high ceilings. Needless to say, I love Omaha and especially downtown. Good luck getting the job!

i like it. downtown is nice. taxes suck. but over all it seems to be moving in the right direction. as G said, good luck on the job

Yes, our taxes in this whole state suck. But Omaha is a nice town with lots of amenities. It's definitely moving in the right direction as a city.

Thanks for the well wishes. The job is my dream job, so i'd be awesome to get. I heard that there is a double tax right now, which sounds pretty lame. But the city itself seems to be on the up and up.
