Texas to consider 80 mph limit

Part of Interstate 20 would be among two West Texas highways to get an 80 mph speed limit.12:09 PM Speed limits would increase to 80 mph on two West Texas interstate highways under a proposal by the Texas Department of Transportation. The Texas Transportation Commission could take up the proposed change, which would apply to Interstate 10 and Interstate 20 in West Texas.

And you can bet your a$$ people will still be getting tickets on those roads. Especially out in west texas where there's no living things in sight for miles.

That doesn't seem very wierd to me. We've had 75mph speed limits here for years.

That's just normal flow of traffic out here. :lol: At times it's all four lanes each way at that speed. Kinda like a Nascar pace lap or Eagle Raceway. :thumbs

Takes a little time to acclimate to 80mph to 0 in 240 feet, but then that's why they call them mobile parking lots in So. Cal. :horns2
