For those of you that aren't familiar with the situation as it happend in the early-to-mid 1990's, here are a couple of reference points:

Peter Victim Never Forgets from the New York Daily News:

Sexual Crime: A Reference Guide:

Read both the article and excerpt.

It doesn't matter if Kathy Redmond was a stranger to Tom Osborne. He should have reported her allegation to authorities. He didn't and Peter went on to sexually assault other women.

How many women could Tom Osborne have saved from Christian Peter?

The same question is being asked about Joe Paterno and his failure to report the allegations made against Jerry Sandusky.

The only difference between Sandusky and Peter is the sex and age of the victims.

Face it Husker fans, this incident going on in State College, Pennsylvania, today - November 8, 2011 - should have transpired in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1995.

Unfortunately, a fan base blinded by a coach with a perceived ethical standard, continues to offer unabated support to an Athletic Director that won at any cost in the mid-1990's...even to the extent of not reporting rape of a woman to authorities regarding one of his own athletes.

No one will respone here with a rational response. It will merely be...ban him...ban him...ban him.

The fact is you don't want to be reminded of your infamous coach's "legacy."

Big difference...if IF IF this whole Peter-Osborne-woman thing went down [of which is highly unlikely]...it pales in comparison to allowing child molestation on campus, and knowing about it...for 13 years.
