Piece of sh#t air conditioning unit

I'm f'ing pissed right now! Not only have we spent an assload of money to allow ourselves the chance to become parents, but we go out spend a bunch of money on sh#t that we needed for these babies, since no one bothered to get us anything f'ing useful or even on our baby shower list. Then the f'ing a/c stops working in the middle of the hottest f'ing heatwave recently here in Iowa and now we are going to have to shell out anywhere from $500.00 to $3,000.00 or more depending on what we have to do here. f'ing 7 year old house too, f'ing neat. I swear to god when they take this furnace unit out of the house I'm taking it to the rifle range and I'm going to shoot the f#*k out of it. :steam :bang :throw :bat :madash :boxosoap

Look at it this way BRI, when the little one's come you won't have to worry about the AC going out because it will have been recently repaired. Having it go out when the babies are newborns would be worse i think, as my 3 month old can't stand getting overheated. He loves his AC. You will get through this just like everything else, and you will probably just go into a little more debt doing it, OH WELL.

I feel your frustration though, our power has been going out once a month! It always happens when I just get home from work, or after mowing the yard/ doing strenuous activity. Bull sh#t!

I've had my A/C freeze up a couple of times and it just required more freon and cost about $100. Hope this is the same for you BRI.

A tip on buying babyclothes, check out garage sales, we did this when Battery and C-Bear were little and those sales are great but you have to get there early and hit lots of them. We also have a couple baby consignment stores that were a good source of inexpensive clothing. A lot of times you find things that have never been worn and still have the original tags.

Good luck Bud.

Hey BRI,

Might be something simple. A few years ago the a/c went out in a house my wife and I were renting. We called an HVAC guy who came out to look at it and he said it was a simple switch that went out. He drove back to his shop, got the part and installed it all for about $80. And this was an after hours call. So I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's something simple and easy to fix :cheers

What he said. Our kid is outgrowing so much stuff its insane. Probably could have done without the swing set right away too, but hey, no judgment.

Any update on that f'ing A/C?

And I agree with a previous poster; at least when the little ones come, you won't have to worry about the A/C going out. You do not want a little one to get overheated, that's for sure!

My little guy loves his A/C...and he's not even born yet! Wait...maybe it's my pregnant wife that likes the A/C. Hmmmm
