PlayMakers

I was thinking about this and does anyone think a major difference between this years team and the last couple is that we have a abundance of PlayMakers on both sides of the ball.

Just look at some of the new guys we got...

Sam Keller- Will make great plays down the field and in the pocket

Niles Paul- Lagitament deep threat specialist

Armondo Murillo- Added depth at DB, but more importantly a ball hawk

Larry Asante- Punisher. No longer will WRs just run wild over the middle of the field without being punished.

More importantly the guys who have been in the system long enough to be effective each time they touch the ball...

Marlon Lucky- Running he's a threat to go 60 yards in the blink of an eye, but receiving he is even a better threat.

Mo Purify- He will have a whole season the showcase himself... Look how good he was against the Big 12 his first time seeing that level of competition.

Zack Bowman- IF he is back he will be a huge threat for INTs or just make QBs not look to the WR he is on as much.

Steve Octavien- Hopefully he can things figured out, and I think he will with it being his Senior season and Coz getting him hooked up as a DE on 3rd down.

Ndamukong Suh- Quick rush up the middle will hopefully force QBs to make mistakes that our other PlayMakers can finish.

There are obviously more really good players I didn't name that will make big plays for us, but these just stand out to me. I just get excited when I think about the potential of this team.

This years team just seems to stick out a little bit more to me because of some of the people we are getting, but my trouble is some of the guys on the injured list and how their backups will respond.

yep, the potential is there, but most of these guys (your first group) have no extensive experience and without that, realistically, what can we expect? the first group is just names, that we really know nothing about at this level. i have hope too, but we have to be realistic as well.

I say we give Larry the Cable Guy a scholarship. Make him a D-Tackle. He could tell some jokes before the snap or maybe fart. While the opponent's Tackles are laughing, our D-Ends or Linebackers can crash through to the QB for a sack. OR .....

What ever happen to that D-Line stud from the movie, Fast Times at Ridgemont High? Does he have some eligibility left?

Seriously, Sam Keller will be the drive in our team. Our Scout Team QB was ranked, I think as #30 best drafted player at one point. I don't think that he sat around last year, especially as competitive as he is, without learning the offense. He knew his potential and so did alot of Scouts from the NFL. As long as the WR's can hold on to the balls that hit their jerseys, unlike other years, we will see another scoring explosion.

There are a lot of playmakers on the team. I'm really looking for Lucky to have a huge season. I see the all-around threat that made Reggie Bush great in him. I'm not saying he is Reggie Bush, but I can see him stepping up and having a big season.
