Hey,

A couple of the posters have been using f'ing for the more normal spellng. I changed the ones I found. Can anyone add that to the list of prohibited words?

@knapplc recently taught some board members how to circumvent the profanity filter, but it was inside the Woodshed so I didn't really think much of it. Then I saw today that @Guy Chamberlin used the trick in a public P&R forum thread with the F word. I edited it to "f***."

Would it be fair of me to PM Guy and just say "hey, the filter is in place for a reason, please don't circumvent it outside of the Shed" or just a "please don't circumvent it" period kind of thing?

Also, thoughts on circumventing it in general? I guess I don't personally care much if someone does it in the Shed. But, if it happens outside the Shed frequently, it feels like repeated attempts by the same person would be worth a warning correct?

 
Yeah, I think a PM is appropriate for that.

I wasn't sure what to think about it in the Shed.  On one hand, it's in the Shed.  On the other hand, it's kind of against what has been prevalent practice up to this point.

I guess at the moment I'm inclined to let it go in the Shed, but I could be convinced otherwise.  I definitely don't think it should be allowed outside.
