Purify replaced on huskers.com header

dont know if this really means anything but this used to have Purify in the middle (where Grixby is now) you can even tell from the difference in color... Grixby was among 3 other players on last years, and there was a new one on there about the time of the spring game with Lucky, Purify, and McKeon and look now. I hope this has nothing to do with his status on the team :hmmph

I love how we over-analyze everything. :)

Honestly, if their was word leaking to huskers.com to take down his picture because of a possible upcoming release, word would leak from there and everyone would know.

If/When Purify gets convicted of the accusations against him, THEN you should worry about his status before the team. HCBC isn't going to kick him off of the team before he gets his fair shake in court.

 
I agree that we shouldn't jump to conclusions about anything, but it is an interesting thing you ran across. Maybe it's just an indicator that whoever makes the decisions on the site thought it would be a good decision to take off 'someone in the headlines' until things pan out.

 
Does anyone think he will get kicked off the team if he does get a conviction? I mean we are only talking misdemeanors. May get fines and probation unless he has a ugly previous record. I see a 2-3 game suspension maybe. Possibly more depending on what facts come out in the case.

I can see them taking his face off the picture though. Not poster boy material right now.

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -- LSU backup quarterback Ryan Perrilloux has been suspended from the team indefinitely after he was cited for trying to illegally enter a riverboat casino in Baton Rouge.

LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette said Tuesday the 20-year-old Perrilloux was issued a misdemeanor summons by police after allegedly trying to use his older brother's driving license to enter the Hollywood Casino.

The minimum age to board a riverboat casino in Louisiana is 21.

Perrilloux was one of the top recruits in the country in 2004, and was listed No. 2 on the depth chart behind starter Matt Flynn after spring practice.

Perrilloux was cited for one count of misrepresentation to gain access and released, said Baton Rouge Police Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said. Police were called to the casino about 5 p.m. Saturday by the boat's security guards, McKneely said.

Bonnette said Perrilloux could return to the team at coach Les Miles' discretion.

"The coach is going to monitor his situation," Bonnette said. "He could return, but that's certainly not definite."

Perrilloux could not be reached for comment Tuesday. Directory assistance did not have a listed telephone number for him.

I have heard this program has some problems. It appears Coach Miles is trying to tighten the reigns a little. I am surprised that it is this harsh. How many college kids have fake ID's. I think there just may be more to this story, or some other questionable actions prior. JMO.

See....Perrilloux needs a good buddy like Mo Purify so when he loses his fake ID, he can go back and kick the security guy's a$$ at the casino!!! :box

Suspended for trying to use a fake ID is one thing. I, as likely does law enforcement and school officials, consider that pretty minor. Pounding (ALLEGEDLY) someguys face in the ground, hitting (ALLEGEDLY) a woman, getting kicked out (ALLEGEDLY) of the bar, jumping a fence (ALLEGEDLY) to get back in to kick the guys a$$ (ALLEGEDLY) again is a COMPLETELY different thing.
