There is nothing wrong with The OC. It was a great show. The first season of the OC ranks up as one of the best TV seasons ever. The show-runner ran out of ideas because he had to do 27 episodes (typical network seasons are 22 episodes, and most cable shows are 10-12 episodes) and the show didn't have much support from Fox executives.
