Agree with Knapp on this. One specific poster, who's rather boorish, does this all the time, and it's so annoying.

I disagree. Bo has plenty of nicknames he's earned (PeLLLLini? 10-4?) and people who are upset at coaches will come up with phrases to refer to them by. People upset with Riley will do the same. It can be varying degrees of annoying, but there's no need to take action on the phrase.

If a poster gets out of hand (for other reasons; derailing threads or being a d!(k to everyone might be one, and neither is necessarily unrelated to their use of language) then he might get action.

No idea why we b******* b*******, either

Agree with zoogs - again, we need to kind of weather the storm here.

As for adding Black Out to the ban list - that was done by Eric years ago for fun. There for a while, we'd have TONS of threads saying we needed to do a b******* - and to wear black uniforms. The younger members loved it - thought it was intimidating (which, if true, would mean every team would wear nothing but black all the time, and always win against any team that didn't). The older members didn't like it because...well, because black isn't one of our colors and they like the tradition.

The older members, of course, are right.

 
I figure this is a good thread for our buddy RADAR. I asked that folks keep this thread on topic, and not use it as a complain about Bo/pissing match thread. He quote's my reminder, and keeps at it.

I was going to say the same thing. He's a pretty new member but has already picked up two warning points. He's quick to jump in on things and try to discredit anything people say. The odd thing is, he's always doing it to people who have a criticism. It's like he's an anti-troll troll. He seems to be trying to stir the pot as much as possible but coming at it from the other side than usual.

Another odd thing - he's from San Diego. Seems like we've had issues with members from that direction which I realize is a gross generalization but it makes me wonder if it's a sock account meant to see how much they can stir things up. I was thinking it might be HuskerinSunDiego but the email address don't jive. But he seems to have a lot of the same characteristics from what I remember.

 
Don't think so. He's like the inverse of GBR -- sour grapes, but towards the Riley skeptics. As much as they dislike Riley, he dislikes Bo and he's still on that. I don't think any of them are trying to stir anything up, but some the fan divide is playing itself out on our board right now. Have to make sure the chippyness doesn't get too out of line, or personal. The last talking to he seemed to get it ... well, eventually anyway.

So sunshine pumpers, kool-aid drinkers, you can keep saying Riley needs multiple years, but understand all you're doing is setting the program back with that line of thought, when this kind of ineptitude demands immediate and decisive action on the part of the University leadership. There's little to build on, little redeeming with this team and program that warrants a second year, let alone the full tenure of Riley's contract.

I'll always be a fan of DoNU, but I can't stand by when there are people willing to accept incompetence and ineptitude and gobble up the PR coming out of Eichorst's office at face value.

Bottom line: These kids playing for DoNU deserve better than Riley, and they deserve better from the fans than acceptance of the current s***show that is currently in charge of the program.
