this is good news. I was thinking if they used a scholarship then we'd be out on Nadab. Love that we're pulling these kids as walk-ons, zero downside and a lot of upside.

Article doesn't really explain a lot of detail... had offers that didn't sound very committable. He had some academic issues, which should just now be getting resolved in the next week so he can be here by end of month (meaning, they definitely weren't great). 

Regardless, impressive highlights and I'm glad we got him!

Yep.  Sounds like he was probably not expected to qualify but may get through under the COVID adjustments.
