Red Lobster Maple-Glazed Salmon & Shrimp:

***Make sure you use the “real deal” maple-flavored syrup and NOT the maple-flavored corn syrups that come in a plastic squirt bottle like Aunt Jemima and Log Cabin!

Maple-Cherry Glaze:

2/3 Cup Maple Syrup
1/2 Cup Water
2 T. Minced Dried Cherries
1 T. Granulated Sugar
2 Tsp. Soy Sauce
1-1/2 Tsp. Lemon Juice
24 Peeled Medium Shrimp
4-6-oz. Salmon Fillets

Make the maple cherry glaze by combining ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat.  When the mixture begins to boil, reduce the heat and simmer 8-10 minutes or until thick.

Preheat your barbecue grill to high.

Skewer 6 shrimp on each of the four skewers.

Brush the shrimp with a little melted butter and sprinkle them with a little salt and pepper.

Sprinkle the salmon fillets with a little salt and pepper as well.

Grill the salmon for 2-3 minutes per side until done and grill the shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side.

Brush the shrimp and salmon with the maple-cherry glaze and serve with rice and asparagus or your choice of sides.

Serves 4 as an entree.
