Reports by huskerXman

Oh, sorry about that! I marked all reports as complete to test out the theory that there were too many opened ones. It didn't seem to work. My bad on that one.

 
I've replied to huskerXman - just a "I'm an admin if you want to discuss".

EVERYONE - The report system is working. You need to go into your profile and go to the Notifications section, and set it to send you notices for reports. You can select email or "inline" or both. Inline puts a small red mark at the upper right of the screen beside your username (near the log in link). If you still don't get notices after that, let me know and I can do it through the Control Panel.

 
I don't have an inline option. I get choices of:

Notify me of reported content - Notification List/Email

Edit - as a test, I reported Frank's and zoogies' posts above this one, and neither report showed in my notifications list. Weird.

Edit 2 - what used to happen was, when someone would report a post, I would see a red flag on the upper-left part of the screen, next to the ModeratorCP button. That's what has changed for me.

OK, funny story - I got a notification when zoogies reported my post. So apparently I don't get notifications of my own reports?

EDIT - Yep, that's the ticket. You don't see your own reports, but now notifications are in the section Frank pointed out.

Anyone know why that changed?

Yea, this doesn't explain why text in the top left of the black top bar is now missing.

It should not be a skin setting that is different. Tough.

Hmmmm...if you'll recall, I stopped getting notifications and couldn't see any reports after January of 2012. Anyone remember anything we did around that time? Did the software get upgraded around that time? That might explain it.

In the interim, I'm going to set us up (if possible) for both inline and email notifications.

I called this guy on his personal attack towards me and he gave me a warning because he said I was trolling. This is the 2nd time this poster has gone after me after being called on his personal comments. He even locked a thread of mine after getting called on his personal comments.
I want to talk to an admin about this. This guys seems to be stalking me and baiting me so he can show he moderating force.

Mainly I just want to know why this person, after making a personal remarks towards me, quickly turns it on me and says I am trolling? It is plain to see, in both threads, that after making his comments I ask is why the personal attack considering he is a mod only to be threaten due to trolling. One thread he locked because he called it trolling and this one (jobless claims thread) went after me again for trolling.

In the post that was locked, knapplc showed what I consider admirable restraint after he had gone to considerable lengths to provide you with the information that demonstrated that the "microchipping people" was a nonsensical claim. Despite that, you continued the thread - I can only surmise, as did knapplc, that your intent was to troll. The mods and admins discussed the matter, and everyone agreed with his acts.

The second thread regarding jobless claims, the first personal attack was this:

lol,irrelevant? Are you seriously trying to say that? Creating jobs and losing jobs because of debt and over regulations are very different. I would think you would be able to figure that out.

If you don't recognize it, that was your statement.

The second personal attack was this:

Sounds like you bought into the lies.. and it sounds like you are again. Sorry about that.

Again, your statement. Both imply a lack of intelligence, so don't bother trying to parse words or meaning.

Finally, I'll note that the very first personal attack that occurred was when knapplc complimented you on providing justification for your opinions in a thread. When you took umbrage with that, he explained himself. You again attacked him.

If you are unhappy with knapplc's actions, you can only blame yourself. After reviewing everything, I completely agree with and support his actions.

That was total horse sh#t. I continued on that thread because I was debating the issue. That forum was created for just that kind of thread. No, he locked it because he didn't like the topic.

Second thread, I seriously dispute my comments as being personal attacks, but what you just said is that because I did (which I didn't) that made it alright for him to do it as well.. never mind that HE is the mod. No, it is selective moderating.
