They may be sh#t creek but what scares me is if they fire Laney and get a new flavor of the month that all the kids wanna play for!

I get you but they're always going to be the flavor of the month. You just hope some of the CA kids are smart. USC is the one program that cannot stay afloat on a consistent basis. It's a bipolar program.

Heard some recent buzz around John Smith and wanted to know if anyone can verify. Recently, Smith told 247 staff writer, Charles Power, that his top group is USC, UCLA, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, Ole Miss, Washington, and Wisconsin. However, Justin Hopkins, 247 WC analyst, mentioned on the BCRS that Coach Fisher has established a good relationship with Smith, and Nebraska may be a dark horse and could be in position to make a play for Smith.

This would be a huge get in the secondary. I could see Smith making an immediate impact and battling for starting time next year. Any ideas?
