Saban to Texas?

There are reports and rumors ... no one knows yet. Is saban waiting to announce because Texas has a game this weekend? Also, What are the chances he jumps to Texas, and knowingly, that the SEC is about to pick up Texas? hmm?

I think Saban would go back to NFL before Texas

Bill Callahan would look good in Burnt Orange........

 
hard to believe that saban would leave bama. But who knows. He has never stayed any where for very long. I seriously doubt Texas to the SEC. They are not keen on add teams from the same states. And if that ever bends there seem to be a ground swell that would support FSU and Clemson over anyone else.

 
1. Alabama would mortgage the state to keep Saban there, and UT could still outbid them. If Saban is ready for a new challenge or is tired of the bama fanbase (probably the dumbest in the nation, he might switch. He is, however, pretty old. I would put the changes at him going to Texas around 35%.

2. The SEC will not accept any other schools in the current footprint. Today's conference landscape is all about influence and TV sets. It's why the B1G added Maryland and Rutgers. It's why IF the SEC expands again, they'll want VaTech and UNC or NC State.

 
About the 4th time. Saban isnt going to Texas, Texas isnt joining the SEC. Mack Brown will probably be coach next year. Texas would sooner go indeoendent than follow A&Ms lead.

But first, we need to gather some fresh opinions on whether or not Pelini should be fired and whether or not Martinez is a good QB.

 
The lastest thing to be said about Texas is Gus Malzahn wants the job if Mack gets kicked to the curb. The thought of that scares me more then Saban going there.
