Search still disabled

I know that search was disabled because of the flood of traffic when Callahan was being fired and TO was being brought on board, but now that the peak traffic has waned, can the admins turn the search feature on again?

Unfortunately, not at this time. Whatever caused it, the search function now crashes the Board whenever we turn it on. We're looking at some options, but at the moment haven't found a solution. Sorry.

 
so what are the options on the table for fixing the search function? or is there a plan to move to a new type of BBS?

 
Not sure. ETR and Blackshirt recently had a meeting about the Board in general, and I believe that issue was discussed. At least one option is different software - either an upgrade of the current package or a new one, obviously. But I really don't know where we go from here, at least yet.
