Searching for Consistency

Excellent write up from Sean. I think he hit the nail on the head.

This is what separates the 9 win programs from the 11 and 12 win programs. They know how to handle success and carry it over to their preparations. At a place like that Nebraska that can be hard at times, because NU arguably has one of the two or three biggest local media contingents that cover the team on a daily basis.

That means when you have a game like Florida Atlantic you are going to hear how great you are the entire next week. But on the flip side after you narrowly beat an FCS team like McNeese State you are going to be asked "what's wrong?" The flat line consistency has been missing.

This has been a common pattern when you look back the last five or six seasons for the Big Red.

edit: derp, forgot the link.

LINK? From the excerpt is sounds like they're looking for consistency from fans, not the team.
