I personally use the rogue do-wins 1/2 inch heel but I've heard good things of the addidas adi powers. I would def get the 1/2 though and only wear them to squat. Dead lifts should be done in the socks or if the gym eobtnlrt you get some dead lift slippers Google will yield good results, if they won't let you use slippers get a new gym
Not sure about the Metcons from Nike as I think those are fairly new. I wear the Lunarglide from Nike and have found them to be very comfortable. I've never understood the fascination with the Nike Free's. I can't stand those things.
I'm a big fan of the Free line, but I couldn't tell you exactly why. I have 2-3 pairs of running/training shoes and then 3 pairs of Tiger Woods Free inspired golf shoes. I enjoy them, but I just need something a little more stable for lifting.
