I guess the surprise there is Nebraska, which offered relatively late compared to the other finalists.

My guess is it's a good example of how (most of the time) we've been talking to a recruit for quite some time before we actually offer.

WTH Kid is from Arizona what does that have to do with Texas. And I am pretty sure we have way more kids not from here then from here contributing lol.

Says he plans to take some OVs and commit by the end of his football season.

Says Nebraska did a really good job of recruiting him, even though we were one of his last offers and he really likes us.

Avery Anderson has been peer recruiting Young because they are friends and played on the same 7-on-7 team. I was confused why Anderson set his OV for the Illinois game instead of the Miami game, like Eric Lee and many other commits. As it turns out, Avery wanted to come to the Illinois game so he could be here when Young was taking his official.

Interestingly, Young will be at Washington on Sept 13th when they take on Illinois and then will be in Nebraska when they take on Illinois as well.

He did visit but I haven't seen anyone that's talked to him yet. Perhaps he hasn't left Lincoln. Could use a LB....
I agree. I think topping this class off with two LBs and a DE would fill out the class nicely. Of course, any other talented player is welcome... but finding at least one LB is a must at this point.

He had a great visit. Kept it close to the vest, but said he had a lot to think about. No other visits set up as of now, but I think we made up a lot of ground. Avery Anderson knows him pretty well so I think him "hosting" him helped.
