Silver Lining

Well with all this negativity, might as well make a topic about things that did go right tonight. If you got em, post em.

As for me, I think that all of the running backs had pretty good games. Read holes nicely and broke some key tackles at key points.

Lets here what you have.

It appears as though the punter situation is well in hand.

I was impressed with the Oline when they were givin the go ahead to just lean on em and do their thing.

Cross's newfound niftiness is pretty neat.

There actually were a great deal of "silver linings." Imani Cross is going to be really good. Newby looks good. Gregory and Gerry look good too. Bell looks improved from what was already a high level of play. Enunwa looks good too. TMart played well and that too is good.

There is talent on this team. And we play a really, really easy schedule. So... NU's record will look much, much better than the team actually is (even more so than last year). And... the young guys will improve.

I don't think all is lost for the season. The good news is we play what basically amounts to a tough MAC schedule + Michigan.
Spot on. Our record will be OK... maybe even impressive... even though the team is less than OK.

Case in point... NU is 1-0 right now only because they played a weak opening game opponent. Had that been a mid-level major conference foe last night, the Skers would be 0-1. Weak competition helps.

First game jitters are out of the way

We Won

We play an even easier opponent next week

We're going to be fine, people need to not go into panic mode so easily, I mean we played a tougher team then the all mighty Ohio State did and Buffalo made Ohio State like a beatable team as well. It was the first week and things will get better
