A "smart ball carrier" will dip down into the hit in an attempt to draw the call. I expect to see an increase in these calls as the season goes on simply because the offensive player trying to get low.

 
After watching that video and with the rules now, how many of our players would have been ejected? I count atleast a dozen times.

Bad thing is per the refs pre-season, it is a judgement call that "generally" will not be over turned. One "bad" call can now truly impact a game.

I am just happy that we aren't in the Texas 10 league or our entire starter line would be ejected.

 
I could see tossing somebody out if it's blatant and particularly malicious. But incidental helmet-to-helmet contact like the SJB hit? That was surprising to me. Hundreds of players should be thrown out every week if they're going to be that nit-picky, and they wish to be consistent.

 
Un freaking real! The guy left his feet, led completely with his head on a defenseless receiver. That just upsets me #freeStanley

(talking about the Ole Miss player, what Stanley did looked completely legal)
