Some recognition to Chad

Eric the Red

Team HuskerBoard
Folks, Chad is making a name for himself in the practice sports market. Just a few days ago he was awarded the contract to provide all the materials for UNL's new indoor baseball park down at the Haymarket Park. He wrote a few letters and gave them a smokin' deal, above and beyond what the competitors offerred and was given go ahead. He did it for a few reasons: 1) it's agreat business/marketing venture, 2) he will use it to gain more business 3) he felt it has an opportunity to give back to our university that has given us so much. Beleive me, he is not making much money off of it, he's doing it because it's the right thing to do.

Please keep this information here and maybe in a few weeks we will roll it out to the board. To say I'm proud of his accomplishments is an understatement. The man started this business in a corner of his apartment living room. Every year it gets better and better. His work ethic, business saavy, integrity and honesty is steady and evident.

Wow, thanks Eric for the great words -- didn't expect this at all. As he said, it's probably best to keep this fairly private for now, but I definitely don't mind if you guys know. Maybe after the project is done we can share w/the community, but I want to avoid giving members the sense that the board is bankrolled by a big corp w/deep pockets, which we are far from.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I feel extremely fortunate to have this opportunity to help the school we all love,

so I'll represent everyone proudly. I plan to put my heart & soul into this project, and will ensure the job is done on a first-class level so our players get a great practice environment, and recruits are wowed for years to come.

The project is scheduled to be completed this fall, so I'll share pics along the way.

Again, thanks for all you guys do around here. As I've said before, huskerboard wouldn't be near where it is today without each & every one of you guys - you all play a vital role, and I'm humbled to be a part of such a great board. GBR!
