Special Teams?

Does anyone know whats going on with the ST. They have not been focusing on it as much in practice, and that concerns me. Maybe they are just completely prepared. I just hope that its importance is not forgot and we laps back to the effectiveness of our ST durring BC first year.

 
I think they are focusing less on it because they played well in that phase last year. The only concern for me in that area is punting. I know the new guy, whoever it turns out to be, won't have the stats like Koch, but as long as he is around the 40 yard average, I will be fine. This year they are focusing more on the line and running aspects of the team, and I think they should be.

Both were avg. close to 40 Sunday but it was hard to tell if either stood out.

 
Last year, if I remember correctly, Callahan ran special teams drills for the first 20 minutes of practice to emphasize the importance of it. I am not for sure if this is the case this year, but I can assure you it is not take a back burner as most of the newcomers are working their butts off to be on these special teams so that they see the field this year.
