Stop the Streak!

People are unhappy with the results of this program after 20 years trying to "rebuild."  You want to make statement?  Stop the Streak.  Stop buying tickets.  Stop going to games.  Stop buying Husker merchandise.  This program is not fueled by wins.  It's fueled by money.  And you keep giving fuel to the fire by continually spending money.  As long as they are getting paid, it will stay the same.  I get it--we need to support the kids but the constant bickering, booing, and disappointment does not support these kids.  Seats need to start being empty if you want real change.

Did your thought require a thread on this? You and 100+ other posters have had the same thought in multiple threads in the main Husker Football forum.

To answer your statement, nothing will happen to the sellout streak. Seats are already bought and paid for even if they are empty. Now, empty seats all around would not look good altogether but, this is Nebraska we're talking about here.

What else do we got?

I don't know what your problem is, but streaking is as American as Apple Pie and the oppression of minorities. There's no way I'm giving up the streak. In fact...

I'll meet you in the (Selleck) quad.

This reminds me of my three year old throwing a temper tantrum because she cant have ice cream for breakfast.

As the old saying goes; dont bite off your nose to spite your face.

We've lost everything else, hate to lose the streak too. It's part of state pride and a nice recruiting tool. Plus we've already established that the streak staying intact doesn't keep anyone from getting canned.
