He's been pretty combative and basically a jerk fairly frequently. He has almost no tolerance for people who disagree with him.

Here's a couple recent examples:

Is an adjustment issue, plain and simple. To fix it they need to move around a couple of people. I'd start with moving banker to the unemployment line, then bring Gene Chizik over and dress him in husker gear.

I feel confident that this would solve a lot of the issues We are looking at on defense.
About firing Banker....

Nebraska held Miami to 19 points after Davie was benched. How was this not the proper defensive adjustment that should cost a D-Coordinator his job? Unless you fire him for making the decision 3 series too late?
So, Miami scored 17 points with Davie on the field and 19 with him off of the field?
You know what the f#*k I'm talking about. Don't be a d!(k.

Woohoo! We're the tallest midget!
So what would make you shut the f#*k up?

Do we just need to agree with you that everything sucks about the program and not have any optimism that there might be a good program in the future with Riley?

Should we not be okay that we don't have a psycho as a HC?

Please just tell us. Your constant negativity is a tired game.

I think he needs to cool down. I don't think suspension at this point but it's becoming more frequent so something needs to be said. Just wanted some feedback on this.

I'm fine with telling SPH to cool it. But, if we want to be fair, we also need to find a way to cool the constant negativity/trolling from the other side as well. Obviously, SPH has no reasonable excuse for his behavior, but that shouldn't excuse the other side.

Personal attacks are against board rules. Negativity isn't. Trolling is so if there are examples of that we need to look at them but I don't think negativity in and of itself is trolling.

It is when it's constant, irrational, and finds its way into every thread, idn't it?

I think we've considered that akin to trolling. We went rounds with Polo on this (among other things). I get a good chuckle whenever someone still pipes in with "Polo still doesn't know why he's banned." He had more chances that any five members deserve.

But I digress. We have definitely had to crack down on derailing threads. If they are jumping into threads just to say "Riley sucks" or whatever, we need to look at that.

But as I said, I think the threads this week have lent themselves to comments like that fairly easily. There is a Bo/Riley thread, Bo/Riley talent thread, another talent thread, basically another talent thread, a concerned fans thread, a problem thread, a "we're 1-2" thread, a "why isn't Wilbon playing" thread, a thread about the sellout streak possibly ending, a bumped thread about expectations, a new expectations thread, another new expectations thread, a flamethrowers thread, and a hope/hoplessness thread that are all still on the first page of the football forum. And that's before you get to threads discussing how we didn't play particularly well for much of the Miami game here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here. (Sorry if any of those were duplicated - I really tried not to.)

Basically any of those threads are opened up to complaining about some aspect of the new coaches or how people were expecting something better to happen. That's basically half the threads on the main page so it's definitely going to feel like it's every thread. So, in my opinion, it's tough to do much with negativity in those threads.

But perhaps I'm the one missing things. Which threads is he being negative outside the topic of the thread? And which posts are there concerns about his tone?

This is more directed at the negativity than a single poster. My thought is that we kind of need to let this go a bit this season and see how it plays out. If the Huskers go on a win streak, the negativity will be reduced or easily handled by the other members. And I expect things will improve as the team acclimates to a new system. But that's my opinion; I'm good with whatever the consensus is.

Having said that, what I think we need to make sure we jump on thread derailing. That's pretty clear-cut and more easily handled by us.

Just for documentation, he's still at it. Gave him another warning for this:

You haven't proven anything besides how much of a douchebag you can be on this board. And if you can show me where I tell people how to judge a coach, go right ahead.

I think it's may be about time for him to take some time off from the board. My opinion is the next time he crosses the line, he gets suspended for a few days.

I don't remember that for sure but he's taken a liking to Polo's board.

I think the attitude has infected him.
