This board compared to others

I don't post much on this site, but am a diehard husker fan and am very frequently lurking this board. I just want to say, people here should appreciate this forum and the posters here. Huskerboard is a very friendly, respected community.

I bring this up because I ventured over to the Shaggy Bevo board JUST ONCE to see how UT fans were reacting to the likely departure of A&M.

..... My god, that board is absolutely littered with coarse language, disrespectful posters and overall immoral behavior. Check it out for a second. I bet you won't ever want your kid coming across something as filthy as that site and it's board. They're so far from being anything resembling intellectual. I have to honestly question how the parents are down there (extreme comment, but that board is extremely large, so the sample size is ample).

Be glad we Husker fans have a nice, intelligent home here.

 
Aww, I agree C-4. You hit it on the head with Shaggy Bevo, and I think it's actually quite common of a lot of other sports boards out there. This board - but Nebraska boards in general, I think - tend to be of a different breed.

Also, any of you guys ever ventured to netbuffs? Talk about a nightmare. 1989 called, they want their discussion list-servs back.

One of the most profane boards I'd ever seen was a Philadelphia Eagles one I surfed to a while back while looking up discussion of Stew Bradley. Eagles fans...hate their team. :blink: So much.
