Did some checking around Wednesday.
Based on several interviews, my guess at this point (semi-educated) is we won't see Bill Callahan working as an offensive coordinator in the NFL next season. This surprises me, to a degree, although the competition for such positions is heated.
One NFL source says he hasn't heard Callahan come up as a legitimate candidate for any coordinator positions. Of course, that could change.
I think we'll see Callahan working as an NFL assistant, perhaps as the Jets' offensive line coach. He reportedly has interviewed for that position.
I think he'd make a good offensive coordinator.
Also, Nebraska on Monday will begin its winter conditioning program under new strength coach James Dobson.
