Which one of the huge companies do people prefer?  I just need a small site for a hobby group that I'm of a part of.

We had Go Daddy and I wasn't really a fan.  Any suggestions?

https://sites.google.com/?pli=1 ? Google sites is free, and might suit your use case perfectly.

You might also consider https://asmallorange.com/hosting/shared/ as well. Not a huge company, but I'm not a big fan of those. Nevertheless, ASO has been around for quite some time.

If you're more technically inclined, you can try for a cloud solution: https://www.linode.com/pricing or https://www.digitalocean.com, set up your own server, and run the website from there. These are all in the $5-10/mo range for your needs, most likely.
