What's going on at Northwestern?

They're one of 4 schools with 15 + commits, they just got in on kids early. It's still an incredible school for the kids who qualify, has some really nice new facilities, and Fitz is a very respected coach who puts guys in the league. But the class will end up ranked in the low 30s unless they pull a couple more 4-stars, which is 5-10 spots better than usual for them but not a program changing class. They're just ahead of schedule for actually locking up commitments this year.

Not worried at all about Northwestern. Looking at Penn State. It doesn't matter how many playoff spots there are. Unless a team from the West goes Undefeated and wins by significant margins, The East will have 2-3 teams in before the West is even considered.

18 commits and #4 in the country six months ago.

19 commits and #44 in the country now.  One four-star.  Although they are only two spots behind Prime, so there's that.

Not terrible considering their recruiting disadvantages.  But not near the excitement they had earlier.

Meh..I think it’s just a “hey, Pat.  We need to look like we did something here.  So take the next two weeks off.”

Looking at the article, no specifics players, no knowledge by coaches confirmed, they can’t even describe what happened.  The fact ESPN is covering it is the only reason it’s in the news.

The only reason why I said that it can't be good is by all accounts Pat Fitzgerald has ran a clean program.
