I've been fairly certain he's a banned member since he showed up but I haven't been able to find anything.

He's all but admitted that now.  And he's pretty belligerent.  Got a warning from me already and is pretty abrasive.

Not sure I'm quite ready to send him down the river yet but I'm already tired of his act.

My general reaction is that if someone wants to make an alt account and play by the rules, I don't really care. The goal is behavior change not punishment.

If a former member shows up and is causing trouble, they're on a short leash. I would advocate a short time out as a warning followed by a quick ban if it continues.

Yeah, he's stirring s#!t up in a lot of places and giving off some signs that he may be former member. I can't find anything concrete on him either at the moment.

Do we have any former members from Salt Lake City? His email is registered to a college there (Westminster College), and his IP address is in Utah.

I searched this forum for any previous issues related to 'Utah' and 'Salt Lake City.' Only big problem child I found was from several years ago with @nebraskafaninwi. But, I can't find any noticeable similarities.

To @Thanks_Tom RR's point, his IP activity does fluctuate quite a bit including one relation to Florida, but then every thing else floats around the pacific northwest.

Lastly, a recent report got me thinking - what have we generally considered 'bigotry' when it comes to name-calling in the Shed? Ulty and NM reported a post of WBM's where he called teach a "mouth-breathing retard." This seems fairly on par with stuff I've seen said in the Shed before, and it's definitely not the worst thing I've seen posted towards someone, but I don't recall having seen us go after someone for 'bigotry.'

I could see why some people might think the 'r' word crosses the line, but I don't know how much we really want to dive into arbitrating personal attacks in the Shed unless it's something SUPER egregious.
