Woodshed Rules

Please abide by these guidelines when posting in the woodshed. Although we like to keep the discussion here a little looser than in other areas of the board, this is not a free for all. Violations of these rules will result in warnings or possibly suspension / banning depending on the gravity of the offense.

1. No porn or links to porn, as per the board rules. Porn is "in the eye of the beholder" but in this case we will consider it intercourse or any other sexual acts. No nudity. If in doubt, do not post it. Likewise, lewd posts are out, as would be using the board to engage in such conversations.

2. No threats. The purpose of the Woodshed is to allow name-calling, not threats.

3. No "stalking" or "solicitation". This is not an AOL chat room.

4. No pictures, videos, or links to sites which contain pictures or videos of any act that would be considered vulgar / disgusting; such as defecation, vomiting, torture, mutilation... If you've seen it in a Faces of Death video, we do not want to see it here.

The Woodshed is primarily for content that is inappropriate for juveniles, but does not permit porn (as defined above), threats, "stalking" or "solicitation". The admins and moderators reserve the right to add to or modify these rules at any time and will use their discretion in determining when rules have been broken.

EDIT - as of March, 2011, we ask that you don't post nudity in any form. Pictures/videos of scantily-clad women are OK, but no nipples and no below-the-waist nudity, including butt crack.

I'm going to ask that no one post any nudity. As long as it's covered, you can post, put when in doubt DON'T!

The rules are gonna change in reference to this. Basically there is no reason for us to allow nudity on huskerboard.com. This isn't a porn site and sometimes it gets out of hand and we receive complaints. That's all..............I'll defer to Eric for further explanation.

The intent of the Woodshed was never to allow a place on this site for porn. It was created because football conversations were getting heated, and the board wanted to give members a place to go to speak more freely. Swearing and some more aggressive tones were allowed that were not allowed in the regular forums.

Over time that has morphed into a belief that "everything goes" here, and that's not the case. For a while we turned a blind eye to some of the nudity, but as it got more and more explicit and complaints mounted - and as rules kept getting broken - we had to do something.

This is a sports forum, with some room for conversations about miscellaneous other things. It's not a porn site. There are over a million websites featuring boobs & butts out there. There will still be plenty of porn on the internet.

As most are aware by now, there are a LOT of new members joining up at HuskerBoard. First, welcome! You have found the best site around for discussion of all things Husker. This welcome goes out to Husker fans from across the web, and also to fans of other Big Ten teams – you are all welcome here, and we hope you enjoy your stay.

Now for business. There are a number of you who "know" each other from other sites. It is important to note that the Vegas Rule applies – what happened there stays there. Think of this as a chance to start fresh, with no baggage carried over from other sites.

As I wrote in another thread:

First thing - personal attacks are forbidden at HuskerBoard. You may discuss the topic at hand, but DO NOT go after the person who posted it. This is one of the rules we enforce most strictly here, so everyone needs to be aware of this.

Second - take any personal disputes to the Woodshed. If you're new and you don't have the password, PM a Mod and we'll get you hooked up. Feel free to bash each other to your heart's content in the Shed - that's what it's for.

Finally - A lot of people have probably had a lot of experience at other sites, both good and bad. That stays on those sites. We are not going to ban, penalize or otherwise restrict Poster A because Poster A had a certain reputation at another site. Everyone at HuskerBoard has to answer for their conduct AT HUSKERBOARD.

I invite everyone, both long-time and new members, to read the Board Rules. They will be enforced. It's how we keep this the greatest Husker message board on the web.
