Wow! Rattlers’ first game tickets will be FREE to all

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Rattlers’ opening 2010 game will take place on April 16th and now the team has announced that tickets to the game will be free for everyone!

Arizona’s arena football team will give away tickets for the more than 17,000 seats of the U.S. Airways Center to fans for the team’s first season game against the Chicago Rush next week.

"The Rattlers and our sponsors understand that times are tough for just about everyone. We wanted to do something special for the people of Arizona without asking for anything in return," said Team President Danny White.

Free tickets will be available on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Casino Arizona and 15 selected Napa Auto Parts stores on a first come, first serve basis.

Fans who have already purchased season tickets will receive a credit toward their account and will also get the first opportunity at acquiring additional free tickets.

I've only been to two arena football games - one here in Lincoln with our crappy team (now defunct) and one in Iowa watching the Barnstormers play. They had this really good QB back then, Kurt... something. I forget his name. ;)

did you buy season tickets that year they were offering a full refund if they didn't make the playoffs? It was so tempting, but I didn't pull the trigger.

 
I haven't even seen a game in person yet.

I had a few co-workers try to talk me into trying out for the team when they first started up, but even then..I felt my joints were too old.

Everybody seems to be excited to have Danny White back..this time as an OC rather than GM/HC.

I Got a couple of tickets this AM at the nearest NAPA..(They weren't on the webpage, but were giving away tickets about three hours early)..I guess the Casinos "sold" out so fast, they decided to give some away for the next home game with Tulsa.

I also noticed they are playing at Tampa Bay Mar.1st...

After calling my brother today about an antique observatory grade telescope I found him on ebay, I'm So tempted to try to sneak on the plane and visit him and his family with my Son that weekend..
