Assessing the talent: From A Step Ahead: Jim Stefani's Underclassmen Football Recruiting Blog: Johnson is one of the top overall prospects in Michigan and top WRs in the Midwest.............Honorable Mention All-Muskegon Area as a junior in helping to lead his team to the state title........Not quite the prospect that his older brother, USC signee Ron Johnson, is since he lacks Ron's great speed, but he is still very, very good........Dominated at the 2007 Purdue Nike Camp, earning WR MVP honors after showing off his soft hands, agility, ability to get separation from DBs and explosivenes in open space. Runs excellent routes.
Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 15% He was originally committed to Michigan State in Sept. 2006 but backed off due to the coaching change.
