Miles Jones is more than good once he puts it together.

I really think he’s as good with the ball in his hands as anyone we got, and with the threats we’ve now signed through 2 years that’s saying a lot. Definitely a candidate to break out in Year 2.

Yep. Size isn't everything with blocking. Kenny Bell proved as much in his time here.

On the perimeter size doesn’t mean much. You’re not blocking to create space, you already have space. You’re blocking to create leverage to signal to the ball carrier where to cut.

What you need is aggression, a guy that loves to block. Aggressive blocking signals to those deep safeties and conflict LBs that they need to beat you to the spot. That has a domino effect in this offense, there are a lot of backside screens and RPOs that read those defenders.

10.72 in the 100.  21.67 in the 200.

He is in Class 3A which is probably Class C in Nebraska.  But his times would have won in Class 4A also.  The two biggest classes aren't posted yet.

Either way, those are pretty nice times.  Both would have been second in Class A in Nebraska last year.

From what I have been reading, Houston has been impressive in fall camp, and reading between the lines, he must be ahead of Nance and Chase at this point. If this continues, he may get his share of playing time this season.
