Assessing the talent: Rivals 250 member is the son of former NFL QB Jeff Blake. ESPN Evaluation: There is so much to like about Blake at the wide receiver position and he is a very polished football player. The only problem is that he does not run very well. Aside from that, he has the qualities you wish you saw in some players who are faster than he is. Possesses good size, has the leaping ability to challenge for the ball while it's in the air and will win some jump balls. Has the body control to adjust to the ball while it's in the air, shows good sideline awareness and can make some acrobatic catches. Is a sharp route runner-- knows he has to outwork opponent to gain separation and he has phenomenal hands. More here: http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiting/...26season%3d2009
Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 20%. He is from Austin but Texas has not offered. This could work to our advantage if he feels Texas is slow playing him or that they don't have room for him.
